Caltrain has been running ballast trains again to their terminal at Chilco street again, and this morning i went outside and saw this cut of cars newly arrived on our neighborhood siding. These cars are incredibly covered in grafitti. Many of them are very old. Check out this one:
Built in 1957, this one is older than I am! It’s a tribute to railroad technology that these half century old cars still keep on going, especially amazing considering the abuse ballast dump cars are subjected to!
