MAGNESIUM

Deficiency Statistics:

      Between 75 and 85% of diets are deficient. The average diet contains 50 to 60% of the recommended daily amount.

 

Why you need it:

      Magnesium is essential for over 300 enzyme reactions, nerve reactions, and the conversion of carbs/protein/fats into energy. It removes toxins from your body and is needed in red blood cells.

 

Symptoms of Magnesium Deficiency:

      Anxiety, confusion, heart attack, hyperactivity, insomnia, nervousness, restlessness, weakness

 

What you need to EAT!
     All unprocessed foods contain magnesium to some degree. Bananas, green vegetables, nuts, legumes, and grains have the highest magnesium concentrations.
