FOLIC ACID

Deficiency Statistics:

Why you need it:

      Folic acid is needed for the production and maintenance of new cells, and for making DNA. It also prevents DNA mutations that lead to cancer.

 

Symptoms of Folic Acid Deficiency:

      Anemia, diarrhea, fatigue, headaches, insomnia, loss of appetite, paranoia, shortness of breath, weakness

 

What you need to EAT!
     Leafy vegetables, nuts, and oranges. You can also purchase many varieties of 'enriched' products such as enriched breads, flour or macaroni.
