CALCIUM

Deficiency Statistics:

      Average diet has between 40 and 50% of the recommended daily serving. Over 80% of teenage girls don't get the RDA.

 

Why you need it:

      Calcium makes up much of your bones and teeth. It helps nerves and muscles function, and helps you convert fuel into energy.

 

Symptoms of Calcium Deficiency:

      Brittle nails, cramps, delusions, depression, insomnia, irritability, tooth decay

 

What you need to EAT!
     2-3 servings per day of milk/dairy products. Teenagers should get 4 servings.
